About Mr. McGrew:
David grew up in Clarks Summit, PA, where his father served at Baptist Bible College as Registrar and professor of New Testament Greek. He left for Cedarville University in 1996 to pursue studies in organic chemistry, but no sooner had he arrived than he found himself drawn toward the field of music.

Graduating in 2000 with a degree in Music Theory & Composition, David taught at a large piano studio in Springfield, OH, before joining the faculty at Baptist Bible College in 2001. David teaches all levels of music theory and composition while maintaining a busy schedule of piano teaching and accompanying. A Student of the arts, he enjoys teaching Introduction to Fine Arts, a core component of the Arts & Sciences curriculum.

A gifted composer, he has written music for many ensembles - concert choir, winds, symphony orchestra, and sting quartet - as well as piano solo, film sound tracks, gospel quartet, and worship band. In addition to his professional life, David is also an avid trout fisherman, and he and his wife, Victoria, enjoy studying works of historic apologetics together.
