What are your hobbies?

Teaching is as much a hobby as anything, and most of my non-teaching hobbies take place in the summer. I enjoy music ministries in the church and community, reading non-fiction, and counted cross-stitch.

What is your favorite book?

Often it is whatever I'm reading at the time. I loved Jacques Barzun's From Dawn to Decadence because of the scope of its topic and relevance to what I teach. This summer I finished George Marsden's biography of Jonathan Edwards, which was fabulous. Marsden writes well, and his research is incredible!

Family:

I live with my mom. We have a black lab, Rosie, adopted from the Konzelmans.

Further Information:

One of the highlights of my summer was the continuing relationship with the Colonial Williamsburg Teacher Institute. This has become an annual tradition for me, incredibly helpful to my teaching and fun for an historian!

Education:

B.S., Bob Jones University

M.A., University of Central Arkansas
