Speaker Bios

Stephen Davey is Senior Pastor at Colonial Baptist Church in Cary, NC. He attended Liberty and Tennessee Temple Universities and holds an M.Div. from Detroit Baptist Theological Seminary and a Master of Sacred Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. Pastor Davey and his family moved to Cary in 1986 and began a Bible study with the intention of planting a church. The church has grown to serve thousands of people in the greater Raleigh area. Stephen and his wife, Marsha, have four children, three of whom are alumni of BBC. |

Jim Jeffery has served for the past ten years as President of BBC&S. Jim is a graduate of BBC and earned his Masters of Religious Education degree from Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary. Prior to coming to BBC, he served as a pastor for 26 years. His passion is to help provide the very best faculty, campus life, facilities, and scholarships for our students so they can prepare to serve Christ with excellence and effectiveness. Jim is married to Bert, and they have three married children. |

Jim Lytle is the Vice President for Academics and Provost at BBC&S. Jim is an alumnus of BBC, earned his M.Div. and Th.M. from Baptist Bible Seminary and his D.Min. from Trinity International University. Dr. Lytle joined the BBC faculty in 1980 teaching Bible. He served here as Dean of Men and Director of Summer Ministries. In 1993, the Lytles joined the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism and served for 14 years as missionaries in Durban, South Africa as church planters and Dr. Lytle was President of Baptist Bible College of KwaZulu-Natal. Jim and his wife, Diane, have three daughters. |

Don Shirk has served as Senior Pastor at Grace Baptist Church in Batavia, NY, since 1987. He is an alumnus of BBC, and he earned his Master's of Divinity and Doctor of Divinity from BBS. Pastor Shirk is the Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of BBC&S, is the Chaplain of the Batavia City Police Department, and is on the Advisory Board for the Association of Baptists for World Evangelism. Don and his wife, Claudia, have five children, four who are BBC alumni and one who is a current student. |
