ALUMNI PRAISE AND PRAYER

August 2013 Update

Jake & Sandy Schrader  (1976)

Dear Praying Friends,
I love this old Swedish hymn written by Lina Sandell. "DAY BY DAY and with each passing moment, Strength I find to meet my trials here." And yes, I'm here to testify these words are true! DAY BY DAY I just continue to grow from strength to strength. SOMEBODY MUST BE PRAYING FOR ME OUT THERE! We are sure a lot of "somebodies are." THANK YOU! A combo B 12 shot has been added to my regiment on a daily basis and this has really given me a boost. Let me tell you folks, I am really getting THE POINT! The shot also leaves a kind of funny taste in my mouth, but it definitely makes a difference in my energy level I preached last Sunday and will be preaching tomorrow. Our teen girls were invited into Welkom Baptist church today for a cake baking contest. I drove in to meet with Pastor Josh and my wife, Sandy. But i just had to slip over to the old annex building to see how the baking was going. Suddenly i surrounded by a swarm of girls from Restore Church hugging me and happily singing a Sotho praise song. Iona, our visitor from the United Kingdom didn't know what to think, but it was the girls way of welcoming me in a traditional Sotho manner and we rejoiced together!!!

DAY BE DAY we seem to be getting ready to receive our container from the U.S.A.. It is all a bit confusing as a different container had to be purchased as our freighting company seemed to have used the wrong type. PRAISE... The freighting company paid for the different container. The port authorities wanted a completely itemized bill of lading even as to what was new and what was used. They have it. Things seem to change DAY BY DAY. But our container continues to steam toward Durban harbor. PRAY our container will arrive at Restore property with little delay and no more red tape than is absolutely necessary. We will keep you informed with our progress.

DAY BY DAY we are encouraged by the support we are receiving from South Africans. Restore was invited to Welkom Baptist church to present our outreach. One of our own young men, Zwide (19 yrs. old) presented the work (accompanied by Mamma Sandy for some moral support). The report was Zwide did excellent!!! One of the ladies at Welkom Baptist wants to meet with us and discuss the possibility of opening a day care center out at Restore property. We will be glad to meet with her. PRAY about this possible opportunity. We will let you know how things progress.

DAY BY DAY our Lord continues to bless us in so many unexpected ways. We told you the funds have been provided to allow Sandy to have extensive dental work. i myself went in to have a check up and I needed immediate help and I may need a wisdom tooth extracted in the near future. NO WORRIES! Your bountiful giving toward Sandy's need has already covered the cost of mine! THANK YOU.................... and THANK YOU JESUS!!!

HE WHOSE HEART IS KIND BEYOND ALL MEASURE, GIVES UNTO EACH DAY WHAT HE DEEMS BEST. LOVINGLY ITS PART OF PAIN AND PLEASURE, MINGLED TOIL WITH PEACE AND REST. Amen? Amen.

I may soon be without wisdom teeth, but not without wisdom. What a wonder promise from our all wise God.
James 1:5.
