ALUMNI PRAISE AND PRAYER

July 2013 Update

Daniel & Elizabeth Ransom  (2006)

Dear friend,

It is with great joy, and a little delay, that we officially announce the birth of our third child and first son, Mark Wells Ransom.

Mark was born in Perugia on Wednesday, June 5 at 10:08 PM local time (4:08 PM Eastern), just about 20 minutes after arriving at the hospital. Considering our previous experience of Elisa being born in an ambulance at Dunkin’ Donuts, we were happy just to make it to the hospital in time.

Thankfully the birth went very well, and both Mark and Elizabeth were and are healthy. Mark has been growing steadily, and seems to have grasped the key concepts (eating and sleeping). Mark was born at the start of very busy time in the ministry, and it feels like we have been running ever since.

The week after he was born we held our first ever Vacation Bible School at our church building, and the average daily attendance was 25 children. For some families it was their first contact with an evangelical church. Overall it was a very positive first experience for the children and their families, for our church members that served, and for two young ladies from Baptist Bible College that came to work with us. Please pray for eternal results.

This coming Sunday four individuals will be publicly confessing Jesus Christ by obeying Him in the step of baptism. Please pray for Paolo, Maria Teresa, Eleonora, and Damaris as they will face increased challenges following their public proclamation of faith.

Last week our missionary team completed several days of strategic planning, which will set the course for the coming years of the ministry. During this time we reflected on the Lord’s faithfulness through the years, and also your faithful prayer and financial support that have sustained this ministry thus far. Thank you so much for being used by the Lord as an important part of this ministry.

Grateful for you,

The Ransoms
Daniel, Elizabeth, Cristina, Elisa, and Mark
