April 2013 Update

Jonathan & Sarah Weber  (2004)

We are grateful that God has been at work in and through our family and the church family as we continue to serve Him in New Hope Evangelical Church. We are grateful for your continued prayer for this body of Christ followers who are seeking to live in such a way as to clearly show how God has saved them and given them a blessed hope!

Blessings From Above:

Resurrection Egg Hunt on March 30th: God blessed the 2nd edition of our Resurrection Egg Hunt by bringing 36 kids and many parents to our house to hear the true story of Easter. The kids also enjoyed searching for eggs, doing crafts and playing games. Since the weather was so cold, many of the activities had to take place IN our house, yet it all went well! Warren & Daniel were excited to have a number of their friends from school come to enjoy this special day. We are so thankful for those who attended and for our friends from church who helped make this a great afternoon.

Easter service in Zoutleeuw on March 31st: After a fantastic day of outreach on Saturday, we were frustrated by a number of technical challenges at church on Sunday morning. Yet the truth of the resurrection message was clearly proclaimed as we celebrated God's redeeming work! The children from a Sunday school did a great job providing music and a short play about "The 3 Trees" which powerfully focused everyone's attention on Jesus Christ.

Planning for a Kid's Outreach on May 4th: We are excited to be
making plans for another Kid's Outreach event that will use the story of Noah to draw attention to God's plan of salvation. We will use our Playmobil scale model of the ark as an important part of the afternoon activities. Many from church are working hard!

Planning for a Parent/Child Dedication & Baptism Service on May 19th: We are excited to see who God leads to be involved on this day!

Wood cutting and sickness highlight Easter vacation: The first week of Easter vacation found our family working hard to cut, split and stack wood for next winter. Then sickness landed Jonathan in bed for 3 days, so plans for a fun 2nd week were set aside. Warren did really get excited about the Chronicles of Narnia during the last part of the vacation and enjoyed ready three of the books!

Continuing to fill in our schedule for summer trip to the USA: We are thankful to have been able schedule all of our weekends and are now making plans for who to see and what to do during the week days! We are excited to see many friends and supporters; yet sad that time prevents us from see everyone that we would really like to be able to see during our 2 months in the USA!

In Christ,
