December 2012 Update
Sana & Nancy Singh (1991)
Greetings from Pailapool in our Saviour's loving name. .
Nancy's cast was removed 30th Nov. But she had pain and swelling and we saw an orthopedic surgeon 3 days back. A better x-ray showed that the dislocation and fracture of the ankle did not set properly. He has recommended surgery to fix them. She will be admitted in a Nursing Home (a small hospital) tomorrow and will have surgery on Friday. She will stay there 3 to 4 days after the surgery. We were concerned because of her diabetic condition but test showed that the level of sugar is low enough to go ahead with the surgery. It is not the best time to be away during the Christmas season but we cannot delay it anymore because of the risk of further injury. Please pray that it will be successful.
VBS in the branch school of Emmanuel scool was finished last week. An average of 50 students atttended Nine children accepted Jesus Christ as their personal saviour. The Sunday school year for 2012 is over the first week of Dec. Fifteen boys and girls made professions throughout the year. Praise the Lord! Our church, Emmanuel Baptist Church, has already started tract distirbution in markets and evangeistic meetings in villages. Several are planned within the next two weeks. A goup will go to a market tomorrow for tract distribution and witnessing. We will miss some of these meetings and Sana some of the speaking engagements but we are thankful for the Associate Pastor and able men of the church who will be able to carry the work in our absence.
Church planting effort by the church associations is going well. One of the church planters in a close country was able to build a small church building for the church he established. Another church established recently meets in a home. There will be special effort to proclaim the good news during this Christmas season by these churches. Please pray that many souls will turn to the Lord and God's word will go forth with power.
Thank you for praying and for your faithful financial support.
As we celebrate and remember the coming of the Saviour, may our hearts be full or praise and gratefulness. May God give us opportunity to proclaim the good news to hearts he has prepared. Have a wonderful and blessed Christmas. May the New Year bring you new opportunities and open doors of service. Have a fruitful New Year!
