November 2012 Update

David & Lucinda Lewis  (1984)

As I mentioned in our last letter we have had the wonderful privilege of meeting and serving with Nyambura. She is from
Kenya and has served with us the last three summers. Her fiancé Wahinya also served this last summer as our head counselor. They
both were a huge asset to our summer staff. It was great to see them work together and hear of their passion to reach the poor
children in Kenya.

Upon further consultation with Nyambura, Wahinya and Global Outreach Group (who advised us to go to Kenya and see
the need for ourselves), we have decided it would be better to wait another year to go. This year they will run a one week camp and
work towards getting property. Then next year when we go we could take a group to help build some ropes course initiatives to help
get the camp going. Both of them did much of the team building for our staff training this summer. The staff
really enjoyed them. I will give you more details as we get closer to the trip.

Wow! Man camp was unbelievable! Despite all the rain God Reigned this week. Monday started with a salvation
and Dwight Knight, Victor Clay and Pierre Cannings hit us hard with the Word of God. This is indeed a vision from God. Pray
with us that God will use these 33 campers to change our culture to the place where we have Godly men standing up for what they
believe; young men who respect their parents, are leaders in school, church and even the community. These men have already made commitments to change their lives by and through God's grace. Pray that they will not lose faith in what God wants to do through them and us.

I hope you have caught our vision for a cultural changing camp. It will not happen in this one week but as we seek God’s
direction and blessing, we do believe that in the next few years we will begin to see these young men take leadership

PRAY with us that we will get the year-round mentor program fully functional.

In Christ,
David & Lucinda
