September 2012 Update

Marty & Brenda Dittmar  (1975)

Dear Supporting Churches and Friends,

GREAT beginning at Purdue so far. We have spoken to the football team. Am about to head over and interact with the Ladies' Basketball team. I have had opportunity to share the Word with one of our Coaching staffs. Tomorrow begins our FCA Huddle for the semester! We are busy and loving it!

Been interacting with former Boiler athletes also in some very significant, life-changing ways! PRAY for these as they work through some important issues of life AND eternity!

Friday we have a big group of Purdue International Students coming to our home. It's a part of Purdue's introduction to Lafayette and West Lafayette for NEW international students. Two bus loads will arrive and we will have the privilege to feed them and share some great information with them about opportunities provided by some of the churches in the area.

PRAY for Brenda's Dad who was diagnosed with terminal cancer not long ago. He seems to be failing quickly. Brenda has been going over almost daily to visit him and Mom. Pray for their strength and stamina. He is a wonderful, godly man. He has been like a Dad to me personally and a wonderful example of the believer in Christ.

Below is a report of the Ephraim Orphan Project with which we are involved. As a reminder, a group of former Purdue students and student athletes along with a church in Kansas have banded together with some dedicated believers in Haiti t begin a ministry to orphans. God provided a beautiful piece of property up in the moutains about 2 hours from the mess of Port Au Prince. We hope to have a building up and running for 25 kids and a host family by December. They are working on the foundation of the building as we speak. We keep building as the Lord provides! READ below about the trip we took with FORMER Purdue athletes in June. God blessed it much! PRAY for Ephraim and for the kids. We have 13 kids right now that we could take in if we had the building done. So many kids were left orphaned after the earthquake two years ago. God bless and thank you for your prayers and support of Purdue Fellowship of Christian Athletes!

In Christ,
Marty & Brenda
