September 2012 Update

Roy & Nancy Jones  (1976)

Greetings from ESPAÑA,

Thank you for praying as we have traveled over the past six months. The final count: about 10,000 miles by car through 20 states in 38 different beds! We arrived safely back in Campo Real on Sunday as planned. Our suitcases arrived as well although not until Monday. We returned to a full house. Our son, Kevin and his family are staying with us as well as Isabel and Sarah, and also another family of believers who live out of town. We thank the Lord for a big house! It’s great to see everyone again.

We just got back from a great five days of camp. Nancy and Isabel taught the classes for about 20 of the younger children and Roy was in charge of room assignments and finances. Camp is always great because it’s an opportunity to spend time with other believers from the ABWE churches in the area. We are praying that God uses this week in the lives of the believers as well as unsaved friends who attended. Please pray especially for Mari Carmen, Susana, Rosalin and Lola - four unsaved mothers who were able to be at camp with their children.

Some of you may be wondering about our finances. In consultation with ABWE, we received final clearance by cutting back on some of our support needs. We were hoping to have more for the new ministry in Torres de la Alameda but will continue to trust the Lord for that need. We were able to raise almost half of the $30,000 needed toward the rent for the ministry center. It’s not too late to contribute. If you would like to give to this project, you can send your gift to ABWE (Acct. # 0114033-006).

It’s vacation time in Spain so apart from camp we don’t have a lot of activities planned for the summer. Since we are just returning, though, we’re looking forward to inviting many of our friends from here in Campo Real and from the church in Coslada to our home for meals and fellowship. Pray for us as we make contact with our unsaved friends especially the Rubio family and Julio and Maria. We’re hoping to continue the Bible studies with them after summer is over.

During our time in the US we were able to visit all 25 of the churches that support us. We also visited many of the more than 20 individuals that help us. We are so grateful for these churches and individuals. As we begin a new term in Spain, we ask specific prayer for the following areas:
- Searching for a ministry center in Torres de la Alameda.
- Planning activities in the new ministry center: English classes, youth activities, children’s classes, monthly celebrations.
- Continuing contact with those who have been in a Bible study with us.
- Following up with our friends here with the idea of having more Bible studies.
- For the leadership of the church in Coslada as the Clodgos are in the US.

It’s great to be home again and to think of all the ministry opportunities ahead of us. It’s also a great encouragement to think of each and every one of the churches and individuals who are praying for this ministry. We know that God has great things to accomplish in Coslada, in Campo Real and now in Torres de la Alameda.

In His Service,

Roy & Nancy Jones
