ALUMNI PRAISE AND PRAYER
July 2010 Update
Chaz & Kari Dull (2000)
Greetings from Ecuador where God is at work and we are thankful. We just arrived back this afternoon from Loja, where we were painting and preparing our house for the move scheduled for this weekend. It was shortly before 9pm that we received a call from the moving company that they have moved up our moving date to TOMORROW afternoon! So, we will be moving to Loja tomorrow! We thank you in advance for any prayers as we know that it is always God who provides protection for us as we travel and we are thankful for that. Please pray for the details of the moving truck as this is a new process for us here in Ecuador and we are not certain about all the ins and outs. We appreciate your prayers for the move to Loja tomorrow.
We want to share a blessing with you so that you can praise God with us. We have 2 contacts already in Loja! Wow- God is already opening doors. One of the believers here in Riobamba has a friend in Loja and she lined us up with each others numbers. We were on our way to Loja last week and received a call from Luz who invited us to her home. We enjoyed a nice cup of coffee and bread around her table as we visited with her. It was delightful. She is interested in studying the Bible after we settle in to our home in Loja. Please pray with us for the contact, Luz, that she will be open and receptive to God's Word and come to a saving knowledge of Him. We also have another contact, Andres, through a believer and we pray that he will be open to studying as well. We are not certain about his spiritual condition at this point.
We have Hudson and Davis both enrolled in soccer school in Loja that begins on July 5th. Pray that this will be not only enjoyable for the boys and a time of learning, but that we will develop and build contacts and relationships through this. They have soccer every week day so we are apt to meet families. Please pray that God will use this to draw others to Himself.
Thank you for your faithful prayers for our family and ministry. We are grateful that God is working and we have the privilege of seeing Him work first hand. Please pray as we seek to make new contacts, as well as develop these relationships with Luz and Andres.

7/21 Update
Greeting from the beautiful city of Loja, Ecuador! Wow! Loja is absolutely beautiful. There is a bus company that drives around here that states, in Spanish, "If you have not visited Loja, you do not know my country". . . and we are thankful to God for the opportunity He has given us to find a house to rent in this city which desperately needs the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Please pray with us that God will open doors for home Bible studies and that we can see churches established in Loja. We count it a huge privilege to serve Him and pray that we can live lives worthy of the calling. Our co-workers, the Coupes, are still trying to locate the right house for them, so please pray that God would make His direction clear in that matter. We know that even the location of our homes is important as God knows exactly whom our neighbors should be. We want to be sensitive to Him in all areas.
We have a new address to write to us here in Loja. We do not want to stop receiving mail from those of you who write to us or send us mail of different sorts. We also would like to make our address available to you so that if you desire to write to us, you are able. We just make a quick trip to the post office to pick up our mail and it is always nice to receive it! Below is our mailing address:

7/21 Update
"Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable" Psalm 145:3
We are writing to you this evening with thankful hearts, overwhelmed once again by the goodness of our God. As you know, we have been praying that God would open doors for the study of His Word with the people of Loja. Many of you have joined with us in praying for this very thing. And tonight we would like to share with you that we had our very first Bible study in Loja today. Praise be to the Lord! You may recall, in a previous update, that we shared with you about a lady by the name of Luz, who we had contact with through a lady we had seen come to know the Lord in Riobamba. We had invited her over today to our home, simply as a way to "get to know her more" and work on developing a relationship with her, leading to a study should the Lord open that door. We were amazed when, after visiting with us for an hour or so, she asked if we could begin studying on a regular basis. We arranged that we would study with her every Wednesday (along with family and friends she intends to invite for future studies, should they desire). Minutes later she asked if we could study "right now". Praise God! We sat down, impromptu and studied God's Word for well over an hour. We will be continuing this study every Wednesday and would ask that you pray. Please praise the Lord with us, that HE has opened this door, that HE has gone before us, and that HE has directed in this way. We are simply His tools, rejoicing this evening that HE is at work in Loja, Ecuador. May God be glorified!
With thankful hearts,

July 30 Update
Greetings to you from Loja, Ecuador. We are writing to you again so thankful for how GOD is at work. We wrote to you last week, letting you know about the first Bible study here in Loja with a dear lady named Luz. We asked you to pray for the study with her that is scheduled for every Wednesday. We are praising the Lord that this past Wednesday when we arrived at her home she was ready and waiting to study the Word of God! It was a delightful time in God's Word and we continue to pray that through these studies she will come to realize that she is in need of a Savior. After the study we had a very nice time of relaxed conversation around her dining room table. We left the study praising God for His goodness and for the blessings He gives each day. To us, this study with Luz is a blessing from God. Please continue to pray for her as she thinks about those things she is learning through the study of His Word.
Another exciting event that occurred this week is that we received our Residency Visas for Ecuador. As you may recall, the visas that we have had up until this point have been Religious Visas. We have been required to get these visas renewed every two years which is a costly endeavor. After getting all the necessary paperwork to a lawyer in Quito, the capital city, we waited for the process to take place to find out whether we would receive the residency visa. We are rejoicing that we were accepted and now have officially become residents of Ecuador. Praise the Lord! These visas do not need to be renewed, which will save us from going through the process of renewing them every two years plus save us money every two years. And an extra blessing is that the total cost to receive these visas was about equal to the price we have had to pay every two years to renew the other visas! Wow! We are excited to be residents of the country to which we are seeking to reach the people with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ! Please pray that we will be faithful in proclaiming the Good News, not only through our verbal testimony, but also through our lives. Please pray that we will live our lives in such a way that others will be drawn to Him. Less of us and more, much more of Him! Please pray with us as we begin the process of getting our ID card for the country. Thank you.
We are also thankful that our co-workers, the Coupes, moved to Loja today! Chaz was able to travel to Riobamba to help them in loading up their belongings and bringing back a truck load as well. Then today they unloaded all of the Coupes "stuff" and they are now getting themselves organized and set up. We are excited to have them here with us now as we work together in reaching Loja with the Gospel and seeing churches established.
Rejoicing,

"Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest." Matthew 9:38
One prayer of ours has been that God would send forth laborers to all over the world to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The urgency is great for the Gospel to be shared as souls are dying without a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus. Without a doubt many of you also pray for this very thing. We also have specifically prayed that God would send more workers to Ecuador, and of late we have been praying that God would bring others to work with us and the Coupes here in Loja, Ecuador. We were delighted when we got word that a family, the Dunns, are interested in serving the Lord in Ecuador and have been appointed as missionaries to Loja! Praise the Lord! Although we have not yet met the Dunns, we are anticipating getting to know them when they come to survey the field in early September. Please pray for the Dunns as they travel some within the States before coming to visit Ecuador, as well as for them as they come, that they will get a clear picture of the ministry here, the country, and have opportunity to get to know our families as well. We praise the Lord that He is faithful in sending forth laborers . . . the harvest truly is plenteous.
With thankful hearts,
Chaz and Kari Dull
