June 2010 Update

Dear Praying Friends,
This will be a short note this month. We depart in a couple of weeks for a short furlough ministry. We have meetings in our supporting churches in the northeast part of the country plus several meetings in “new” churches. Some of our supporting churches have needed to drop or cut back on their financial support for us so we are in need of additional support. We know you will pray with us for this need. The Lord always pays for His will to be done and we are confident that the Lord desires us to remain in this ministry until it reaches indigenization.
The Bible college will hold its Annual General Meeting on July 10 in the afternoon. This year we have reached a constitutional milestone in that Baptist Mid Missions staff are no longer required to be represented on the board. The college can have a completely Australian board of directors. This is a first in the history of Victoria Baptist Bible College. July 10th will be a very busy day indeed as during the morning Steve will be on an ordination council. Our church, Faith Baptist Church, has called an ordination council for Pastor Frank.
We will be on the road for the next 6 months. We will have house sitters at our home here in Australia. They will collect our mail and save it for us. It will be okay if you send items to our Australia address...as long as you don't mind that we will not receive them until January. You can contact us via email as we plan to check that every day. Some are having trouble getting through with our AOL address but you can try either of these: wswiv@aol.com or stephen.wivell@bigpond.com. We will visit Steve's mother a couple times so mail could be sent to us at her address: 414 N. 7th St, Denver PA 17517 (that is Pennsylvania, not Colorado). We would like to get a cell phone while in the States and we will give you that number when, and if, we are able to do that.
