Greetings from Mormon Country!

Our garden is planted and showing signs of life! We’re even trying to grow some upside down tomatoes, though I am dubious we can replicate the spectacular success touted in the infomercials.

Sowing and watering also continues in the ministry. The parable of the sower and recent experience combine to teach us that a per centage does fall by the wayside. Yet, the great law of sowing and reaping constitutes a divine promise of harvest. Since our last communication, an adult sister and young granddaughter of one of our members have apparently received the Lord. Amen! We also praise the Lord for an encouraging number of visitors, a mix of saved and unsaved people. A married couple, outstanding Asian believers, is returning to Singapore in June. Also, please pray for counseling opportunities which often turn into evangelism and discipleship instruction.

Thank you for praying concerning the need to remove some trees on our neighbor’s side of the church property line which were damaging our fence. The Lord granted a very amicable resolution. Another facility related development includes the installation of a much needed security gate at the entrance of our parking lot intended to put a halt to repeated acts of theft and vandalism.

To facilitate the harvest, more laborers are needed. We are thrilled to report the addition of Pete and Gail Tidd to the Mormon Focus Ministry Team. The Tidds are Baptist Mid-Missions transferees from Venezuela and will provide a strategic Spanish ministry in partnership with the Bardons, a veteran MFMT missionary couple launching a new church plant south of Provo, Utah. And there is more! Rich and Maggie Todd are on deputation. Maggie was saved from Mormonism. As soon as their support is in, they will take their place as valued MFM Team members. We are also anticipating the arrival next month of Paul and Laura Fulks as one year short term missionaries specifically working with us in Riverton, after which they believe the Lord would have them complete candidature for career missions in Utah. Please pray for all of these desperately needed servants.

Another busy summer is upon us, filled with exciting potential. A team of approximately 75 teens and leaders from northern Ohio will comprise the latest installment of Project Utah, July 9-17, engaging in door to door evangelism, surveys, canvassing, Back Yard Bible Clubs, and VBS on behalf of several mission churches here in Mormon Country. Pray for the Lord to work mightily in and through these volunteers. It is our goal to visit at least 2000 homes in advance of our VBS which launches immediately after Project Utah. Thank you, dear friends, for each church sending us last summer’s left over VBS material. It will soon be put to very good use! Following VBS Marty and I will be heading to the August BMM Team North America Enrichment Conference in Iowa.

We solicit your ongoing prayers for Marty whose pain is a daily challenge. I would also request your prayers as I seek to complete a manuscript for publication examining multiple parallels between Mormonism and the Ephesian cult of Diana. But more importantly, it identifies several ministry principles God gloriously blessed in Ephesus, constituting an inspired template for victory in contemporary religious cultures.

Thank you for your prayers, your gifts, and your love as God gives the increase, the harvest!
