Workshops
- Opportunity to Lead a Life of Purity (women only)
"Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with GOD'S PEOPLE and MEMBERS OF GOD'S HOUSEHOLD." (Ephesians 2:19) This will be a time for girls to concentrate on purity…purity regarding our thoughts, physical relationships, and other actions. We will work on steps to take home and apply to our day to day living. We will also work together on a plan to help friends and others in our youth groups to pursue purity.
Opportunity for PrayerPrayer is like dental floss, “something we know we should use but, more often than not, leave at home.” The Bible is full of commands to pray and illustrations of answered prayer. We have all heard real life stories of unbelievable and miraculous answers to prayer. And let’s be honest, most, if not all of us, would admit that we do want to pray more, but just don’t! So WHY don’t we pray? HOW can we take full advantage of the opportunity that God has given us to talk with Him at any time, in any place, about anything?! This workshop is for those who want to learn to pray.

How do I make good decisions? Does God really care about where I go to college? Join in for a discussion based workshop on biblical principles to guide your college search. This will not be a “how-to” guide to finding the right college, but a thought provoking discussion on principles to guide you and your family in the process of narrowing down your college options. We will look at current data regarding Christians and how their college choice affects their faith and future and discuss some timelines for what, when and how to begin the process.Opportunities, Opportunities, Opportunities

We live in an age that has redefined tolerance. Not only must you respect all views, you must now consider all views equally true (even if they contradict one another). The problem is that it is a contradiction to what the Bible tells us. Using the book of Jude as our guide, we will look at some of culture’s values that contradict our faith and learn how to courageously "contend for the faith" in a loving Christ-like way.
Testimonies
This past summer was my first experience with TLC. Despite hearing about the conference from friends at BBC, I really didn’t know what to expect. I enjoyed counseling at TLC for several reasons. The first is that I was able to spend a lot of time getting to know the students with whom I was working. One of the major emphases for counselors at TLC is to have meaningful conversations with the students. I had several opportunities to have significant conversations...read more
Although TLC is programmed to specifically reach high school students, I believe God worked in my life as a counselor just as much as He did in the lives of the students. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to take part in building relationships with my girls as they shared what issues and struggles they were going through. Some of the most encouraging and ...read more
