SITES
Student groups will be serving on Thursday, February 11, in six cities. Hands-on work includes food distribution, evangelism, random acts of kindness, visitation, and more. The experience will also help students gain Christian leadership experience and connect with local ministries. Here’s a summary:
Binghamton / 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
• Variety of physical work
• Reaching out to the homeless
• Cleaning
Cortland / 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
• Helping a rescue mission store with daily needs
• Organizing
New York City / 7 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.
• Flyer distribution
• Conversational evangelism with school children
New York City ( Manhattan) – 7 a.m. - 9:30 p.m.
• Prayer walks
• Firsthand interaction with multi-ethnic groups
• Outreach opportunities for students who speak Spanish
New York (Queens) – 7 a.m. - 9:30p.m.
• Subway ministry
Scranton / 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
• Tract and flyer distribution
• Prayer support
• Assistance for Scranton Rescue Mission
• Helping local churches and CareNet
Syracuse / 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
• Handing out clothes and food to the needy
• Help with office work
Wilkes-Barre / 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
• Cleaning
• Flyer distribution
• Interaction with the homeless
• Prayer support
• Helping Wyoming Valley Rescue Mission
